This policy explains how Diggers Remote Control Café ("Diggers", "we", "us") collects and uses your personal data when you visit diggers.cafe, book a session, buy a gift voucher, join our waitlist or contact us. We are the data controller for this information.

What we collect

Booking details: name, email, mobile number, booking notes, the sessions and machines you book, and payment status.
Waitlist and enquiries: name, email, phone, preferred town, and anything you tell us in a message.
Gift vouchers: purchaser and recipient names and emails, and any personal message.
Payments: handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
Technical data: IP address and basic request logs for security and to prevent abuse.

How we use it and our lawful basis

To take and manage your booking, send confirmations, reminders and follow-ups about your visit (performance of a contract).
To answer your enquiry or tell you when a location opens after you joined the waitlist (legitimate interests / your request).
To send marketing emails and texts, only if you ticked the box to opt in (consent). You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email or by contacting us.
To keep financial records as required by law (legal obligation).

Who we share it with

We use trusted processors who act on our instructions: Stripe (payments), Brevo (email and SMS delivery and our mailing lists), and our hosting provider. Franchised locations receive the booking details for their own site so they can run your visit. We never sell your data.

How long we keep it

Booking and transaction records are kept for 6 years for accounting purposes. Waitlist and marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, and reviewed at least every 2 years.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, object to processing, or withdraw consent at any time. Email info@diggers.cafe. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
